The HT-20 is designed to handle temperatures up to 160 fahrenheit making it perfect for any hot water line in residential applications. Regular filter housings are unable to withstand temperatures above 100 fahrenheit. This high temperature resistance is accomplished using a fiberglass reinforced polyethylene. Obviously the filter cartridges also need to be designed for high temperatures. There are many sediment and carbon filters capable of handling high temps, including the CBC-20, PD-5-20, EPM-20, and PD-25-20.Aquaman is a Water Quality Association Certified Water Specialist.
